Esther Marie Muzzillo

Esther Marie Muzzillo passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the age of 65. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Gertrude Greene.

She was a dedicated mother to five children, amazing YaYa to nine grandchildren, and devoted partner to her significant other of 20 years, Todd Wallace.

Her nickname “Sunshine” resembles who she was to those around her. She knew just how to make someone’s day a little brighter.

Esther loved spending time in her garden and could turn a yard of dirt into a landscape of beauty and color. She enjoyed kayaking, made many memories on the water, and was always up for an adventure. Esther was the hostess with the mostest and we will miss her decorated cookies, one-of-kind birthday cakes, and homemade apple pies. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and leaves us a lasting legacy of love.

Esther will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her five children, Vanessa (Les) Edwards, Barbara Muzzillo, Theresa (Greg W) Muzzillo, Greg (Yesica) Muzzillo, and Anthony (Selena) Muzzillo; nine grandchildren, Aedrey, Yestin, Luke, Aiden, Liam, CeCe, Jaxon, Maddie, and Gianna; and her loving partner, Todd Wallace.

The warmth of our “Sunshine” will forever shine bright. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 14, 2023 for family and close friends.

Memorial donations in honor of Esther can be made to the American Heart Association.

We will miss you. You were a very wonderful friend to Karen, Jake, and I. Thank you for the scrumptious meals and desserts you prepared over the years. I know you’ll be in good hands. I’m sure my brother Gregory will be hitting you up for more cookies.

    Love Steve Karen and Jacob

I’m sad to hear of Esther’s passing. We had so much fun raising our kids when they all lived in Brecksville. Her kindness radiated. Her heart was as big as the sun. Preschool Mother’s Club brought us together with so many fun memories and antics! I’ll never forget her making this beautiful plate of cookies for our son’s First Communion; so unexpected and absolutely delicious! God bless you Esther, I’m sure the sun in heaven is much brighter with you there.

God how I will miss this lovely woman on the river trips. The one with the blue boat and the straw cowboy hat that was such a pleasure to be with. Every once in a while,…God makes a particular specimen that everyone remembers forever…and Esther was just one of those few. As I used to tell her,….”a good Polish woman is hard to find these days.” I will miss our phone calls seeing how many grand kids we now each have. She is was way ahead of me always. This girl was one of a kind and will be missed by all of us paddlers.
Rest in peace my dear lady.

Esther was a very classy, beautiful and generous lady. Our families and friends have a lot of great memories from vacations, adventures and parties together over the last two decades. Our loss but heaven’s gain. We will miss you.

We have fond memories of kayaking with Esther. She looked so cool in her Western-style hats and was warm and friendly, easy to talk to. She will be missed.

Oh my, sending positive vibes to Esther’s family and friends. I am only just now discovering this sad reality. Like Mike and Betty said, Esther was a dynamic presence with our paddling group always contributing to a positive energy with her great smile and attitude. Somehow I feel like she will be with us in spirit always!

We are so so sorry to hear about Esther’s passing. She was a fun loving person. I remember decorating Christmas cookies and cakes with her. Our 1st babies came a couple months apart and we had lots of fun figuring out how it all works. We lost touch after you all moved away. She will be missed by everyone!

I am heartbroken. Words can’t do justice to what Esther meant to fellow paddlers. My best memories will always include the times I lived near Esther and all of our paddling adventures. I’ll miss her so much. 💔

I’m so heart broken. When I got the text I thought she was texting about us getting together before Christmas.
She took care of my husband Garry before he passed. Esther was his favorite aid. I also hit very close to her and became real good friends. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I enjoyed seeing her at Marshall’s. She always made time to talk to me and ask about my family. She would give me updates on her kids and grandkids, which she loved very much. She would also talk about Todd in a loving way.
I will miss her so very much. Her smile was contagious!
May u rest in peace Esther. You will always be in my heart.
    Your dear friend Marie Jones
