Norman Edward Nantz

Norman Edward Nantz, 69, of Stanley, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. Born on December 10, 1956, in Mooresville, North Carolina, Norman was the beloved son of the late William David Nantz and Lois Rachel Gibson Nantz.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Norman is survived by his loving wife, Nina McFalls Nantz; his son, Shane Edward Nantz; his daughter, Crystal Lynn Nantz; and his cherished granddaughter, Jade Sky Tate. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth David Nantz and sister Francis Gail Stuart. He was predeceased by his brother Alvin Dwight Nantz, sister Betty Ann Schumaker, and sister Dorothy Jean Hayes.

Norman’s life was a testament to kindness and compassion. A man with a big heart, he cared deeply for both people and animals alike. His faith was central to his life; as a devout Christian, Norman loved the Lord and spoke with Him daily. His connection to nature brought him peace and joy; whether he was taking long walks through the woods or sitting quietly by a creek. He found solace in these simple moments of reflection.

An avid guitarist, Norman found joy in playing music that resonated with his soul. He also had a love for reading and could often be found immersed in a good book. With a unique sense of humor and charm, he even found delight in twirling a flyswatter—a small but memorable quirk that brought smiles to those around him.

Norman’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and friends and the countless lives he touched with his warmth and generosity. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Jade’s home in Alexis, NC at 2022 Mt Zion Church Rd.
