Savannah Aleisha Johnson

Savannah Aleisha Johnson was welcomed home by our Lord and Savior to everlasting life on Sunday December 10th 2023. 

 She was the beloved daughter of Herbert Warren Leeper and Edith (Parker)Leeper. Savannah was born on March 13th, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. Her childhood and teen years were spent in Jamestown, New York. She graduated from Jamestown Community College in 2001. 
 
Savannah cherished her family and friends. She loved to be of service and would help all those that knew her. Savannah worked as a Supervisor at Sears and Robuck Co. for many years. She also worked as a property manager in Charlotte, NC.  In her later years, Savannah was a caregiver for her late mother Edith Leeper, her brother Edward Leeper Sr. and her sister Antonia Davis.
 
Savannah has been a faithful servant of the Lord all her life. She lived for every opportunity to spend with her children and Grandchildren.  As the youngest daughter of six; Savannah treasured her time with her siblings. She was an active member of Vision Ministries Holiness Church (Atlanta, Ga) Apostolic Temple (Jamestown, NY) and Greater Hedges & Highways Church in Charlotte,  NC.  
 
Savannah was preceded in death by her father Herber W. Leeper, her mother Edith Leeper, her brother Edward Leeper Sr. and her sister Rositta Norman of Illinois. 
 
She is survived by a husband and four children: Kenton Johnson, Jakara Johnson, Toya Johnson and Edith (Tiffany) Johnson. Twelve (12) grandchildren- Ashea Johnson, Jakhi Johnson, Josiah Johnson, Terrell Boulware Jr., Ronnie Earl Johnson, Taylor Boulware, Joelle Cameron, Tegan Boulware, Bryson Johnson, Tyson Boulware, Jordan Earle and Micah Johnson. She is also survived by 4 siblings: Antonia Davis, Barbara Garland, Sylvia Gray and Donna Scott. As well as a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. 
 
Savannah’s good works preceded her. She Was known to be a nurturer, a giver, a confidant, a prayer warrior and friend to anyone she came in contact with.
 
May the Lord welcome her into His loving arms for a life well served. 
 
Visitation will take place on Sunday December 17, 2023 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home. A Going Home Service will begin at 2:00PM following the visitation.
