Kenneth Rodgers Cole was born on August 15th, 1947, in Bessemer, Alabama, to Charles Leroy Cole and Velma Nixon Cole. Kenneth passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2026, with his family by his side.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father and mother, all 9 of his brothers and sisters, and his son, Michael Cole.
Kenneth is survived by his spouse, McKayla Cole; son, Steven Cole; daughter, Peggy Cole; honorary daughter, Heather Meier; stepdaughters, Jillian Jones and Darcie Hurd; and grandchildren, Courtney Cole, Corey Whaley, Jaylin Parker, Matthew Cole, Ensley Meier, Blyten Jones (Cole), Madelyn Jones, Addison Hurd, Felicity Jones, Grant Jones, and Everlee Holub-Celentano.
During his lifetime, Kenneth served in the Navy as a mechanic during the Vietnam War and carried that profession into the medical field after his discharge.
Kenneth loved God, his family, and music. His faith, love for his family, and appreciation for music were central to his life. He will always be remembered as a loving father and Pawpaw and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
