Raymond Jackson Highland “Jack”

Photo of Mr. Jack HighlandRaymond Jackson Highland, ‘Jack’, 77, of Lincolnton, went home to the Lord surrounded by his family of June 5, 2018. Born on May 2, 1941 in Clarksburg, W.V., he was the son of the late Richard and Eva Losh Highland. Jack worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation before retiring. His wife proudly states, “Jack built HIghway 321.” Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Highland; siblings Kate, Ellen and Jim.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Ronna Homesley Highland; son Dwaine Mills; 2 stepsons Kenneth Brooks and Jerry Womble; stepdaughter Donna Yates and his wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Service 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Iron Station Missionary Church (Will Schronce Road). Pastor Chris Johnson will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at David Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery Lincolnton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory to Hospice & Palliative Care Lincoln County would be deeply appreciated. The Good Samaritan Funeral Home Denver is serving the Highland Family
