Patricia “Pat” Pastorek

On Monday, September 20th, 2021, Patricia “Pat” Pastorek, loving wife and mother of two children, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 68.

Pat was born on March 3rd, 1953 in Napoleon, OH to Don and Betty Fetter where she grew up alongside her older sister, Linda and younger brother, Tom. She graduated from the University of Toledo in 1975 and went on to a successful career at Therma-Tru Doors where she retired as CFO. Pat married Doug Pastorek (deceased) in 1978. They raised two sons in Perrysburg, Ohio – Brad (Mary) and Brent (Elizabeth) Pastorek. In May of 2016, Pat married Jim Merrill in Peoria, AZ. They recently moved to Denver, NC where they had planned to live out their years traveling and spending time being closer to family.

Pat enjoyed playing golf, which was her favorite recreation, as well as hiking, traveling, and sightseeing. She was happiest spending time with friends, family and her grandkids. She had a great attitude towards life. Her presence lit up a room, often adding a carefree wit and eccentric sense of humor that many of her loved ones will remember her for.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Betty as well as her brother, Tom and husband, Doug. She is survived by her husband Jim, sister Linda and her sons, Brad and Brent, and five grandchildren. Also surviving, Pat became very close with Jim’s children and grandchildren. The family will be holding a small private ceremony to celebrate Pat’s life.
