Lewis Howard High (Louie) , 80, of Lincolnton went to his Heavenly home on Monday March 14, 2022
Lewis was a member of First Baptist Church of High Shoals. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the church on Friday March 25, 2022 at 6PM to celebrate Lewis’s life.
Lewis was born in Lincoln County to the late Eula Mae and Carl High. In addition to his parents Lewis was preceded in death by his wife Becky Gales High, Brother Agustus (Doobie) High and Mother in law Margie Heafner.
Lewis was survived by his son, Jeffrey High and wife Vickie; Daughter, Lorrie High; granddaughter Kayla Eakes and husband Justin; a great grandson, Oliver Eakes; Brothers, Donald High, Marvin High, and Norman High; along with numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Lewis retired after 45 years as a supervisor from Mohican Mills in Lincolnton. After his retirement Lewis spent several years donating his time to Christian Ministries in Lincolnton. Lewis was also a proud member of the “Hilltop Boys” and enjoyed hanging out and having a cup of coffee with the guys.
The family asks in Lieu of flowers that donations be made to Christian Ministries of Lincolnton.
