Helga Karoline Haddix, 78, of Denver passed away on January 24, 2018 at Lakewood Care Center in Denver. Mrs. Haddix was born on September 21, 1939 in Germany. Mrs. Haddix was a loving mother and homemaker, who was known as ‘Mom’ to every one she knew. She loved her family, friends and animals and expressed this love by helping all whenever she could. Mrs. Haddix was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. James E. Haddix and her daughter, Judy. Mrs. Haddix is survived by her son, Gardner R. Haddix of Denver; her sister, Karen Reynolds of Denver; sisters-in-law Shirley Haddix, Phannie Jean Haddix both of Jackson, Kentucky and Emily Jackson of Ohio; brothers-in-law David Haddix of Jackson, Kentucky, Bill Reynolds of Denver and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service was held at the Haddix Family Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Haddix’s memory to the Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church 344 York Rd. Mount Airy, NC. 27030 to help with moissionary work around the Appalachians and South America. The Good Samaritan Funeral Home served the Haddix Family.
