Deborah Anne Bass Hahn

Deborah Anne Bass Hahn, age 72, of Denver, NC, passed away on June 24, 2026. She was born on December 14, 1953, in Charlotte, NC, to Charles and Polly Bass.
 
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 50 years, George David Hahn III; her parents, Charles and Polly Bass; her sister, Darlene Burrows; and her brothers, Danny and David Bass.
 
She is survived by her children, Patty (David) Crow, Danielle (Junie) Jones, George David Hahn IV (Lawanda), and Katherine (Kelly) Hahn; her grandchildren, Zachary (Liz) Crow, Madeline (Mike) Leon, Katelyn Hahn, Cali Homer, Evelyn Homer, Adaline Homer, Jaielynd Jones, and Valentina Jones; and her great-grandchildren, Denver Crow, Luca Leon, Sullivan Leon, and Leilani Jones and her sister-in-law, Elaine Bass. And her sweet poodles puppies Toby and Pepper.
 
Deborah lived a life defined by boundless devotion to her family, a generous spirit, and an unwavering capacity to love. She attended East Mecklenburg High School and built a fulfilling career as a pharmacy technician for more than 30 years with Atrium Health. 
 
More than any professional achievement, she took her greatest pride in being a mother to her children and a “Momal” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and wisdom.
 
To know Deborah was to know unconditional love. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for, whether through a warm meal, a thoughtful conversation, or a simple act of kindness. She celebrated life’s happiest moments with genuine joy, offered comfort during its greatest challenges, and was a constant source of strength and encouragement for those she loved.
 
Family was the center of Deborah’s world. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding her greatest happiness in watching her family grow and creating memories that would be cherished for generations. Her love was steadfast, selfless, and unwavering, a source of comfort and stability that her family could always count on.
 
Deborah’s legacy is one of compassion, generosity, resilience, and unconditional love. She taught those around her the importance of kindness, putting family first, and finding joy in life’s simple moments. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared so freely, the traditions she created, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 30th at 4:00 PM at Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver, NC.
