Paul Gerald McKean Jr., 45, of Denver, North Carolina, passed away on August 19, 2026. Paul was born on March 7, 1981, in Sayre, Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of so many.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Lawing of Denver, NC; his children, Aiden, Dominic, Kristina, and Maylin; his parents, Paul McKean Sr. and Robin McKean of Denver, NC; his brother, David McKean; his sister, Melissa Ayer; as well as three nephews and three nieces, and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Above all else, Paul loved his family. He cared deeply for the people in his life and would do anything for anyone in need. He had a generous heart, a willingness to help others, and a love for his family that will never be forgotten.
Paul also loved fishing and cherished the time spent enjoying the outdoors. The memories made with him, including his kindness, his love, and the moments shared with family and friends will be held close by everyone who knew and loved him.
Although our hearts are broken by this unimaginable loss, Paul’s love and the impact he had on those around him will live on forever. He leaves behind a space that can never be filled, but also a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring comfort and remind us of the love he gave so freely.
