Robert “Bobby” Reid Turbyfill, 55, of Lincolnton passed away on July 31, 2026. He was the son of the late Norma and Jack Turbyfill.Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Martha Jean Allison and Elam Reid Turbyfill; and his brother, Terry Turbyfill.
Bobby was a self-made man who rose to the top of his field of heating and cooling. Once he took a step back from that career, he used his skills as a jack-of-all trades to tackle a multitude of tasks for friends, family and others looking for assistance. He was smart, creative and funny but will be remembered mostly for his kind and giving heart as well as his gentle spirit.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dee Best and husband Rob; Cyndi Alfaro and husband Travis, grandchildren, Paisley and Parker Alfaro and Jett Best, sister, Debbie Tucker, husband; Steve, and ex-wife, Diane Turbyfill. In addition, he is survived by his nephew Daniel Tucker and niece Kendra Tucker.
A Graveside Service will be held on August 9, 2026 at 1:30 pm at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church located at 315 N. Cedar St., Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Bobby was a good friend and he will be sadly missed.
Known Bobby, and Terry for many years, he was a very good friend, a very loving soul. I used to live with him in Denver on the island. Always helped friends in need, loved his family Dearly. He will be very missed.I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye.
Bobby was a friend and a kind, caring person.
He never refused to help anyone if he could.
We will miss his honesty and the times he
would stop by either to lend us a hand or to
sit for a short chat.
