William “Luther” Jennings, III

William “Luther” Jennings, III, 63, of Denver, passed away on April 16, 2019 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be held from 11-12:30, Saturday, April 20th at Good Samaritan Funeral Home, 3362 N Hwy 16, Denver NC 28037.

Grave side services will be held at 2pm at Northlake Memorial Gardens, 1101 Alexandriana Rd, Huntersville NC 28078.

Luther was born in Charlotte NC to Bill and Eloise Jennings on August 18th, 1955. He married Janet McSwain Jennings on October 4th, 1975 in York, SC. He worked as a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed life to the fullest. This included car/bike shows, fishing, being on the lake, buying/selling cars, anything pertaining to racing, and loving on all of his grandchildren.

Luther is preceded in death by both of his parents, Bill and Eloise Jennings, brother, Russell Jennings, and grandson, Carter Jennings.

Luther is survived by wife, Janet Jennings, daughter, Amanda Jennings Baucom, son, William Jonathon Jennings, daughter in law, Mandy Walker Jennings, sisters, Tina Lawing and Terry Setzer, brother, Gary Jennings, Grandchildren, Heather Baucom, Kaitlyn Baucom, Kipton Jennings, Anna Jennings, Erin Jennings, and lifelong best friends, Tony & Susy Stillwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Lawing’s Chapel Baptist Church, in memory of Carter Jennings. There address is 4637 Lawing Chapel Church Rd, Maiden, NC 28650.
