Scott David Peterson

Scott David Peterson, 61, of Norfolk, Nebraska, passed away on November 22, 2023, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born on September 26, 1962. Scott was a beloved husband, father, and proud Papa. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Scott was crafty, adventurous, and a modern-day MacGyver. He could make a tool out of anything and fix just about everything. He found peace in working outside and considered his beautifully landscaped yard to be a sanctuary. He enjoyed firing up the grill year-round and his family knew that they were in for a treat whenever “Scott’s Ribs” were on the menu.  He had a passion for woodworking, traveling, camping, and golfing. However, his greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family. Whether it was creating a beautiful and functional piece out of wood, remodeling his home, or embarking on exciting journeys, Scott cherished every moment he shared with his loved ones.

He is survived by his Loving wife Katie, his sons Matthew (Sue), Mitchell (Jennifer), Andrew (Jordan), Donnie (Thao), his daughters Mary (Adrian), Casey, and his grandchildren, Jayce, Madeline, and Daxton (April 2024).  Scott’s presence will forever be felt in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 1:00PM at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home.

In honor of Scott’s memory, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. These organizations were close to his heart, and any support would be greatly appreciated

Scott David Peterson will be remembered for his craftiness, adventurous spirit, and dedication to his family. May his soul rest in peace.

Scott was a kind soul and easy to talk to. He was a great neighbor and I will miss conversations with him, seeing him, and wondering what he was building or working on around the house. A very talented man and devoted to his family. I only wish I could have got to know him better. God bless the family as they push forward!

Our hearts go out to Scott’s family and friends. Scott’s sons and our son grew up together on the same cul-de-sac. You all are in our thoughts during this difficult time.
