Raymond Gross

20180308_110739Raymond Gross, 77, of Iron Station NC passed away at 3pm on Wednesday, March 7th at CMC-Lincolnton. He was born on January 20th, 1941 in Washington D.C. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kay Gross; his three sons, Tommy Gross of Raleigh, Bobby Gross and Kenny Gross of Iron Station; and his two daughters, Traci Sasser of Raleigh and Linda Rudisill of Lincolnton. He is also survived by 7 grand children and 7 great grandchildren.
His oldest son, Mike Gross preceeded him in death.
Raymond served proudly in the United States Air Force as a communications specialist.
He loves sports, Elvis and watching westerns. He played pro baseball and made it to Triple A at one point. He was a great man with great stories and was loved by anyone the met him.
The visitation will be held this Sunday, March 11th from 2pm-3pm at Pearl Baptist Church in Iron Station NC. It will be directly followed by a short service with Military Honors starting at 3pm.
Flowers can be sent to the church between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th.
