Nancy Evans Cadmus

Angels Among Us

On Monday, April 6, 2020, we all lost one of God’s most glorious angels when Nancy Evans Cadmus transitioned to a new and more glorious venue. She had lost her extended battle with cancer, suffered through 11 weeks of Hospice with her family in our neighborhood and never lost her smile, her compassion or her caring love for others.

She asked for no flowers or memorials. She will end this transition to her new journey at a small grave site for a few family members at her beloved Whitmire, South Carolina where she was raised by her grandmother for her first 18 years of worldly life.

Nancy was especially appreciative of her neighbor’s respect for her privacy. Thank you all so much.

Now the family must begin the grieving process by first acknowledging what all of us have lost and how we related to Nancy Cadmus, truly one of God’s most glorious and gifted angels among us.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Harold, her daughter Lynn, her son Scott, his wife Lisa and our granddaughter Catherine.

Hopefully some of Nancy’s legacy can be seen in the lives of her extended family which she influenced greatly during 60 years of marriage.

A beautiful lady is lost to this world. We had the wonderful pleasure of visiting Nancy on several occasions and enjoyed her warm and welcoming ways. Her intelligence shone through like a beacon and she will be missed by all who new her.

Rest In the arms of God sweet Nancy.

What a beautiful soul I had the privilege to know over many years. So softly spoken and sweet and gentle, such a caring spirit. I pray for all of the family that all of the wonderful memories will carry them through this time and all the years to come. God gained such an angel.
All of my love, Kelly Rickman Queen
