Laura Miele,67, of Denver NC passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 10, 2023. She was born in New York, New York on November 16, 1956 to the late Joseph and Yolanda Imbrosci. She graduated from Mother Butler High School in 1974. During her high school years, Laura was an equestrian, softball player, and ice skater.
After high school, Laura was introduced to Pat through mutual friends, and they were married shortly after, in 1980. Before having children, Laura and Pat spent their first six years of marriage traveling all over the world. Hawaii was one of their favorite vacation destinations.
In May of 1986, Laura and Pat went on to have their twins, Krystina and Angelo. As a family of four, they lived in Commack, New York for over 30 years. Laura was an all-around amazing mother to her two kids. She was always an active member of the school PTA, their biggest cheerleader, and always encouraged her kids to strive to be their best selves and to always follow their dreams.
In addition to being an amazing mother and wife, Laura also worked as a lunch aid, teacher’s aid and then a receptionist at the local town library.
In 2019, Laura and Pat decided to follow their son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren and moved down to North Carolina. Being able to spend time with her grandchildren, attend their dance recitals, cheer them on at soccer games and just watch them play in the backyard was the highlight of her time here in North Carolina.
Laura is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Pat Miele; her children Krystina and Angelo; her daughter-in-law Shannon Miele and her grandchildren Nicolas and Peyton Miele.
Besides her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her brothers John and Joseph Imbrosci.
Laura will be remembered for her warm smile, kind soul and the genuine love she showed everyone who was ever lucky enough to meet her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home. A Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 2:00PM at the funeral home.
