Karen Ann Griffin, 62, of Denver, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 with her loving family by her side.
Karen was born on December 29, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pa, to the late Genevieve C. and Edward R. Suess. Karen graduated from St. Michaels Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pa. and later married her beloved husband of 44 years Thomas F. Griffin in 1970.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Griffin of Denver; four children, Edward (Robin) Griffin of Stanley, Neil Griffin of Denver, Michael (Carolyn) Griffin of Denver and Angel (Calvin) Griffin-Mitchell of Denver; five grandchildren, Amber Griffin, Christopher Wooten, Ashley Wooten, Madison Williams and Hailey Griffin and future grandson, Lucas Griffin-Mitchell; and two sisters, Marlene (Rick) Belasco of Pittsburgh, PA, and Christine (Mark) Kubick of Knoxville, TN.
Karen was preceded in death by her two children, Timothy Brian and Carl Raymond.
The family will have a memorial service for Karen on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Good Samaritan Funeral Home, 3362 North Highway 16, Denver, NC 28037.
