James Donald Stone. 82, of Denver, NC passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born on April 10, 1943 in McDowell Co., NC., he was the son of the late Cecil and Juanita Mace Stone.
James was a truck driver by profession. He loved traveling on his motorcycle, watching Western Television Shows and Movies, Bowling and being with family and friends.
Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister Linda Roach; nephew Butch Simmons and niece Terri Lee.
James is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Roberta Wimmer Stone; son Jeffrey Donald Stone and his wife, Dana; grandson Jeffrey Derek Stone and his wife, Erica; great granddaughters Everleigh and Madalyn Stone.
Family will receive friends on Saturday August 30, 2025 from 1:00PM to 3:00 PM at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home 3362 North Highway 16 Denver, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ memory to Via Partners Hospice and Palliative Care would be deeply appreciated.
