My condolences to all of Jake’s family and friends.
When I think of Uncle Jake, I think of the summers at Santeetlah with him and his fishing buddies. He loved coming to our house and we loved him being there. He would bring laughter, song and lots of good food. Love you Uncle Jake!!
Lord jesus surround anne and John with your comfort and peace
If ever there was a fellow who could be described as “Larger than life” that would be Jake McFee! One thing he did not do is live life at half speed. Whether you were up Hazel Creek, Battery Creek, the “Pinkbeds” or a hundred other fishing/hunting locales, his personality would light up the woods. I hope to always remember the “intense” banter between Jake, my father and their brother Joe over the ideal campfire cooking technique! Regardless of the topic or location, you always had a pretty good idea what Jake thought and where you stood with him. He was loud and opinionated, but he was also generous, thoughtful, kind, dedicated, smart and loved by a whole bunch of people! I pray the Lord Jesus gives Anne, John, Ellie Mae and all the rest of us comfort in this time. I was truly blessed to have been a small part of his very full and interesting life
