Gil Foster passed away on January 16, 2023 at the age of 67 after a short battle with brain cancer. He was born on March 14, 1955 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. After serving in the Air Force, National Guard and graduating from the University of South Carolina, Gil entered a long career in Information Technology and retiring from Wells Fargo last year.
Gil is survived by his spouse Amy; his children Jerry and Samuel; his sisters Judi Campbell (Gary)of Woodruff, SC, Mary White of Spartanburg, SC and his sister-in-law Diane Foster of Greeley, CO; in addition to many nieces and nephews; (as well as two dogs, two cats, and a flock of moody laying hens.)
He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Margaret Foster and his two older brothers Lewis and Jerry.
The Foster family will be holding a service at Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver, NC on Saturday January 21, 2023 at 3:00PM with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Litter Free Denver, NC a local beautification project.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Wexford House and Lincoln County Hospice for their loving support.
