Clinton Ray Holsey

Clinton Ray Holsey, 68, of Denver, North Carolina, went home to be with Jesus on November 17, 2025.

Clint was born October 19, 1957, in Portland, Oregon to Carl and Betty Holsey. He grew up in Vernonia, a small logging town west of Portland, alongside his brother Cary. From a young age, Clint was charismatic, athletic, and full of life. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and had fond memories of singing in the school choir.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University, where he became an avid fan of the Oregon State Beavers. After graduation, he began a distinguished career at PG&E in California, dedicating his entire professional life to the company until his retirement in 2016.

Clint married Kellie in 1986 and was a devoted husband. He cared deeply for her daughters, Anikkia and Jessica, and together they welcomed two more daughters, Angela and Ashley. Clint loved his family. His wife, daughters, and grandchildren were close to his heart, and he created so many memories full of laughter, joy, and love that will be cherished forever.

Clint had a playful sense of humor and a genuine love for people. He had a rare ability to make every person feel valued. He lit up every room he entered, and within minutes, he’d be laughing and connecting with people he had just met. He treasured and maintained his friendships across decades, staying connected with grade school classmates, college friends, colleagues, and his church family. Clint didn’t just know people; he loved and uplifted them.

Above all, Clint loved Jesus. He served faithfully as an Elder, usher, teacher, and leader, always giving freely of his time and heart. His voice rang out joyfully in the hymns he loved, and he shared the love of Christ through his words, actions, and example.

In his 68 years, Clint created a legacy of faith, humility, and service. A servant leader and a humble man, he touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. So many carry memories of his encouragement and love that will remain in our hearts always. His life was a testament to living fully for God, and his example will continue to inspire and guide us.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10:00AM at Denver Baptist Church Denver, NC.

You will be sorely missed. You served as a teacher, an elder, a mentor, and a dear friend to us both and to many others. A truly Godly man who knew scripture like no others. Always ready to serve others with a true joy in his heart that comes only from his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We will always cherish the recent visit to Ms. Donna who is on Hospice and you leading us in joyful song as we took the Lord’s supper with her. What a joy she had hearing you sing those old time Gospel songs. Love to Kellie and all his girls. Find peace and comfort knowing that Clint is now in the presence of his Lord and savior. He cared deeply for each of you.

Merriam Websters Dictionary needs to update the definition of ‘Gentleman’ to include a photo of Clint. Clint ALWAYS placed the comfort of others “First’, before himself.

May Clint be forever blessed in Paradise aside Jesus Christ. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
