As our shared birthday approaches, my heart feels especially heavy. That day will never come again without me thinking of you and feeling so grateful that I was blessed to share it with you.

Tonya, because of you, I moved mountains I never believed I could move. You came into my life for a reason, and I will always be completely thankful that God allowed our paths to cross. I’m grateful for every conversation, every memory, and every moment of the time we were given together. I wish more than anything that I could tell you all of this one more time.

Watching you with your precious grandbaby is a memory I will always cherish. There was something so beautiful about seeing that love between you and knowing how deeply the little ones need us, just as much as we need them. I’m so grateful you were able to experience that kind of love and joy during your far-too-short life.

You made a lasting difference in mine. I will carry your strength, your memory, and the mountains you helped me move for the rest of my life. Happy birthday in Heaven, Tonya. I miss you, I’m grateful for you, and I will never forget you.
