Georgiana Molessa Howe (“Georgie”)

Georgiana Molessa Howe, lovingly known as “Georgie,” passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born on March 2, 1933, in Binghamton, New York, to the late Demetrius Molessa and Anna Pazinko.

Georgie dedicated much of her professional life to her role as an Executive Secretary with IBM, where she was known for her exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and genuine warmth in working with others. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.

Outside of her professional life, Georgie found joy in the simple pleasures that brought people together. She loved playing the piano, singing her favorite tunes, and spending time reading. She also cherished life on the lake, where she delighted in the beauty of glowing sunsets, the gentle rhythm of the water, and the fun times and laughter that came with time spent with family and friends. A devoted sports fan, she knew something about almost any sport, but her favorite was enjoying and following Penn State University football.

Georgie was preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings: Michael Molessa, Irene Aud, George Molessa, Ethel Molessa, and Virginia Little. She is survived by her siblings, Mary-Ellen Kane and Eugene Molessa, as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and cherished extended family members who will remember her with love and gratitude.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 11:00AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Denver, North Carolina. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Cornelius, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georgie’s memory to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region viagiving.org or to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church building fund.
