Vasile Bora born in Romania on February 10, 1938, passed away peacefully with family by his side and his faith in God in his heart and soul, just shy of 86 years of age on Thursday January 4, 2024. Beloved husband to his predeceased loving wife of 43 years, Floare “Flora” Bora and have been reunited in heaven.
Loving father of his six children; two daughters, Claudia G. Szenasi and Delia F. Bora; four sons, Vasile J. Bora, Silviu “Sal” F. Bora, Daniel A. Bora, Romeo G. Bora; his two son’s-in-law, John Szenasi and Mark E. Gibson; his daughter-in-law Stephanie H. Bora; his seven grandchildren, Claudiu “Cris”. Szenasi and his wife Mary Szenasi, Anastasia D. Bora, Maggie Quaglia and her husband Corey Quaglia, Marcel G. Bora, Darius A. Bora, Maximus C. Bora-Gibson, Dahlia F. Bora-Gibson; his two great-grandchildren, Addie Quaglia and Teddy Quaglia.
Vasile is survived by six siblings, George, Aurel, Peter, and Benjamin Bora; his two sisters Zorica Simut and Maria Deznan; he is reunited with his youngest brother John Bora and his parents George and Aurelia Bora. Fondly remembered by his large family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Vasile brought his family to the United States on March 17, 1978. Proud father of five children who served in the US Military Services (Vas, Sal, Danny, Romeo, Delia, and SIL Mark). Vasile was a beekeeper, farmer, hunter, and enjoyed his peaceful retirement spending time with his children, friends, grandchildren, traveling, gardening, being in nature, and caring for his honeybees. Family and Friends, all enjoyed indulging in the sweet fruits of is labor.

Vasile’s family will receive relatives and friends for funeral service officiated by his brother, Paster Benjamin Bora, and eulogy delivered by his eldest son, Vasile J. Bora at The Good Samaritan on Friday January 12, 2024 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Saturday January 13, 2024, at 11:00 am we will gather at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home and will follow him to his final resting place at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 8210 Unity church Road, Denver NC 28037.
