Scott Warren Meier, 64, was born in San Jose, California, on July 14, 1961, and passed away in North Carolina, surrounded by family.
Scott was a hardworking, friendly, and personable man who never seemed to meet a stranger. He had an easygoing nature and a way of making people feel welcome. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, his sense of humor, his stories, and his willingness to lend a hand.
Scott spent much of his life in Tucson, Arizona, where he began working for Hayden Concrete Products while still in high school. He remained with the company for many years, building a career and forming lifelong friendships with his coworkers. Hayden Concrete Products and the people he worked alongside were an important part of Scott’s life.
Scott loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and shooting. He enjoyed good friends, good times, and the simple pleasures of being outdoors.
Scott was blessed to have a special family beyond his own. He shared many years with Shelli “Petey” Warren Lehner before her passing several years ago. Shelli was also the sister of Scott’s best friend, Lance Warren. The Warren family welcomed Scott into their family and loved him as one of their own. The bond they shared was a meaningful and lasting part of Scott’s life.
Scott is survived by his mother, Claire Meier; his sister, Karen Lynn Christensen; his brother, Gary Meier; his nephew, Ryan James Christensen; and many extended family members and dear friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Earl Meier, and by Shelli “Petey” Warren Lehner, who held a special place in his heart.
Although Scott spent his final year in North Carolina near family, Tucson remained home to many of the people and memories that meant so much to him. He leaves behind longtime friends, coworkers, and members of the Warren family who shared many years of his life.
Scott will be deeply missed, but the memories, friendships, stories, and laughter he left behind will live on in all who knew and loved him.
Rest easy, Scott. You will never be forgotten.
