Patsy Buchanan Scott, 74, of Denver, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025. She was born on July 31, 1951, in Mooresville, NC, to the late Floyd and Delilah Buchanan.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Scott; her daughter, Angela McGinnis Milburn; her son, Daryl Scott; her grandchildren, Alex Scott and Justin Scott; her brothers, Ira, Bill, Roy, and Ralph Buchanan; her sisters, Mildred Buchanan, Elsie Buchanan, Louise Ray, Joyce Seipel, Betty Mayberry, and Martha Buchanan; and her beloved dogs, Muffy and Molly.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Mason (Shane); sons, Robert McGinnis (Melissa) and James Scott (Lisa); grandchildren, Corinna Mason (Matt), Carissa Mason, Catrina Mason, Casside Mason, Carlinn Mason, Quin Mason, Kimber Drum (Reid), Tyler Milburn (Kayla), Nathan Coulter, Kent Coulter (Lauren), Trey McGinnis (Jessica), Jeffrey Scott (Annette), Soren Scott, and Summer Scott; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings, Eugene “Buck” Buchanan (Linda), Barbara Wilkes (Michael), and Randy Buchanan (Wanda), along with many nieces and nephews.
For more than 40 years, Patsy dedicated her career to hairstyling, proudly owning and operating Blue Reflections Beauty Salon in Huntersville, NC. She touched the lives of countless clients and friends with her warmth, creativity, and care. Outside of work, she enjoyed gardening and found joy in trips to both the beach and the mountains.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Good Samaritan Funeral Home in Denver, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00–3:00 p.m., followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow at Patsy’s home.
Patsy will be remembered for her loving spirit, devotion to her family, and the many lives she brightened along the way.
Patsy was a wonderful little sister to me. I will cherish my memories of her forever. Michael
