Liman Dean Allen, 71, of Stanley, NC. went home to the Lord on February 23, 2015. Born on December 8, 1943 in Cleveland Co. NC., he was the son of the late Mitchell and Kathleen Allen. Mr. Allen served proudly in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. He was presently retired. He will be greatly missed.
Besides his parents, Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his brother David Allen and sister Pattie Dover and her husband Johnny.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Katie; son Robert Allen and his wife, Tina of Stanley; grandchildren Alden and Katelyn Allen and 4 step grandchildren; sisters Peggy Cornell and her husband, Vernon, Dellia Buff and her husband, Charles; brother James Mitchell Allen Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service Sunday, 3:00 PM at East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church in Iron Station. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
The Good Samaritan Funeral Home in Denver is serving the Allen Family.
