Bobbie Jean Hendrick Woodie Smith, 54, of Vale, passed away peacefully in the early hours of March 28, 2024, at her residence. She was born on August 6, 1969, to Bobby and Norma Hendrick in Lincolnton, NC. Bobbie Jean graduated from West Lincoln High School in May 1987.
Bobbie Jean married her first husband Joey Woodie on January 19, 1987. They had two children Ashley Michelle Woodie and Rebecca Marie Woodie.
Besides her parents, Bobbie Jean is survived by her husband Scottie Dean Smith; her daughters Ashley Rudisill (Rocky) and Rebecca Hastings (Rex); three grandchildren, Ava Grace Rudisill, Kinsley Faith Rudisill, and Hunter Allen Rudisill.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home Denver, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00PM. Officiating is Pastor Phil Goins of Freedom Bikers Church Hickory, NC.
My heart breaks for this family. Bobbie Jean was one of the first friends I made in high school.
