Thomas Paul Manning, Jr.

Thomas (Tom) Paul Manning, Jr., 85, of Denver, NC, passed away on November 27, 2025.
 
He was born on April 15, 1940, in Boston, MA, to the late Thomas Paul Manning and Mary E. Manning.
 
Tom graduated from South Boston High School and went on to attend Northeastern University. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966 as an aircraft mechanic on F-101s. After his service, he earned his Associate’s Degree in Aeronautical Maintenance from Wentworth Institute in Boston.
 
Tom built a long and dedicated career with Eastern Airlines, working in Boston, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale from 1968 until 1991. He and his family made their home in South Florida from 1971 until relocating to North Carolina in 2021.
 
Tom was a lifelong Boston sports enthusiast and an avid New England Patriots fan, faithfully cheering them on year after year.
 
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Frechette and Geraldine Manning, and by his niece, Linda Frechette.
 
He is survived by his wife, Randy Manning; daughter Shawna Gagliano and husband Charlie of Newton, NC; son Brian Manning and wife Amber Alfano of Boulder, CO; nephews Michael Frechette of Rockland, MA, Liam Walsh of Colorado Springs, CO, and Brendan Walsh of Montague, MA; and grandchildren Victoria Auten, Dylan Manning, Skylar Manning, Angelina Gagliano, and Brendan Gagliano.
 
A Celebration of Life and military burial at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC will be planned for a later date.
 
Condolences may be shared with the family at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home.
