Everett Watson Morse (“Sonny”)

Everett Watson “Sonny” Morse Jr., a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and strong Christian man of unwavering faith, entered his heavenly home on March 31, 2026. His life was a testament to his belief in Jesus Christ, the importance of family, and the joy found in simple blessings.

Born October 1950 in Charlotte, NC, Sonny lived a life shaped by purpose, integrity, and service. He married the love of his life, Carol Morse, with whom he shared a beautiful 51-year marriage filled with laughter, mutual support, and deep devotion.

A proud father, he is survived by his two beloved daughters, Lindsay Morse Hatley (and husband David Hatley) and Janine Morse Siegfried (and husband Dan Siegfried). His greatest earthly joy came from being “Grandpa,” and he leaves behind seven grandchildren (Lydia Winn Robinson, Bradley Winn, Rebekah Winn, Tyler Hatley, Trevor Hatley, Tanner Hatley, Mackensie Hatley Ratchford), each blessed by his love and laughter.

Watson’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was deeply active in his church, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a prayer, or serve wherever he felt called. His walk with Christ was evident in the way he treated others—with kindness, humility, and genuine compassion.

He had a zest for life and never missed a chance to enjoy the things he loved. In the past, he found freedom on his Harley-Davidson, joy on the golf course with friends, and fulfillment through his church community.

Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his warm smile, and his ability to make everyone laugh. His legacy is one of faith, family, and wholehearted living.

He will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
