Mr. Namon Wesley Smith, 43, of Cherryville NC, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Namon was born on October 14, 1982 in Cleveland County, NC a son to Marvin and Norma Jean Smith.
Namon was an avid collector of Transformers, sports cards and his favorite football team was the Miami Dolphins. Namon loved to talk and socialize and he was always remembering others by giving gifts for special occasions. He attended Cherryville High School and worked at Burger King and Bojangles as an assistant manager. He also attended the Foursquare Gospel Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Smith and his older Brother Marty Smith.
Survivors include his mother, Norma Jean Brittain Smith of Cherryville; a son Hilan Smith and his former wife Brandy Stone Smith of Stanley. Namon had many cousins that loved him and other special family members too.
The family will have a graveside service at the Cherryville City Cemetery on Saturday November 29, 2025 at 2:00. The Rev Bobby Holtsclaw with be officiating.
