Elaine (Brisson) Doss, 77 of Denver, NC, left us peacefully to be with her heavenly Father on August 26, 2025 at 1715.
A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Elaine, will always remembered for her kindness, fun spirit and her love for God.
Born on January 14, 1948 in Fayetteville, N.C. to Boyd Jasper Brisson and Virgie Virginia Avant. Her siblings are Tommy, Beth, Vicky and Jack.
As an ex military dependent of 20 years, Elaine traveled to North Carolina, Missouri, Germany, and South Carolina. She then moved to California but decided to move back to her home state of North Carolina because she missed her family.
Her hobbies were traveling, crossword puzzles, knitting, and crocheting. She was so creative and as a military dependent she enjoyed ceramics. Nightly, she enjoyed reading her prayer of the day. Elaine is a lover of dogs and cats.
Her most memorable work place was working at Oakland Naval Hospital in Admissions and Collections before it was permanently closed.
Elaine is survived by her children, Tommy of N.C., Susan (Thomas) Jara of Nebraska and Michael Doss (Carla) of S.C., sister Beth (Rick) Shaver of S.C. and brother Jack Brisson of S.C. Her grandchildren Nicholas, Taylor, Shavonne, Leslie, Ashley, Michael, Brandon and Steven. Her daughter-in-law Colleen. She also has 12 great grandchildren. She also has very special nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her loving parents; her sister Vickie Taylor, and brother, Tommy Brisson and her nephew and niece Donnie and Tammy.
