Stephen Brien Ellis, 73, of Stanley, NC., passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Born on September 7, 1951 in Charleston, West Virginia the son of the late French and Aldeen Fields Freeze.
Stephen served proudly in the United States Army.
Stephen was a Maintenance Supervisor for an Apartment Complex. He was also a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
He was an Outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
Before residing in Stanley, Stephen lived in Niagara Falls, NY.
Besides his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ellis and his granddaughter, Morgan Ellis.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife Debbie Ezell Ellis; daughter Cristin Ellis Luna and her husband, Rick; son Scott Ellis and his wife, Charity; stepson Matthew Ezell and his wife, Jennifer; 11 grandchildren; sisters Jeri Elaine Carey, Jamie (Chuck) Turnage, Judy (Don) Bergholz and several nieces and nephews.
