Chip Wentworth -Veteran of the United States Army

Chip Wentworth November 12, 1945 – March 2, 2015

“I’ve got a message for all you fudge cakes:”

Chip loved relaxation, political incorrectness, Lite® beer, large bodies of water, sandy beaches, and Key West especially. He had fun shooting guns, clubbing golf balls, identifying classic cars, and driving his Corvette. His inclination was peace and quiet, with occasional swigs of humorous absurdity.

And he was loved. During his final weeks, friends and family accompanied him with memories old and new, happiness and sadness, laughter and tears, conversation and affection.

Somewhere over the rainbow, in the big bed in the sky, our cosmic cowboy watches over us — his friends and family; his pineapple princess Rebecca; his children Marc, Christopher, and Matthew; his sister Lynne, her husband Jim, and their children Nick and Sam; and all of the loved ones dearest to them.

Visitation will be from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home (3362 N Hwy 16, Denver NC 28037).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice (3975 Robinson Road, Newton NC 28658).

“Let’s all go play.”
